Sign & Text Bridge

A simple, professional bridge between spoken language and text so deaf, hard‑of‑hearing and hearing people can communicate more easily across African and global languages.

Guidelines for accurate use:

Mode A: Speaker to Text (for sign-language readers)

The hearing person presses Start listening, speaks in their language, then presses Stop. The Bridge shows the text and translation for the sign-language user and interpreter.

Idle — press “Start listening”, speak, then press “Stop” to show the text.

Text for the reader

Save this exchange with both parts: the speaker’s text and the writer’s text that was spoken out.

Mode B: Writer to Voice (for hearing listeners)

The sign-language user or anyone who prefers typing writes their message, chooses the language it should be spoken in, and the Bridge plays it out loud for the hearing person.

Important: the Sign & Text Bridge is a supportive tool, not a certified interpreter or medical advisor. For serious or high-risk situations, always involve a qualified human interpreter and professional.
